Nintendo’s latest console is poised to take on the Wii U as the company prepares to release its next major hardware release, but the company has yet to officially confirm any major games will be available on the system.
While the company hasn’t officially said anything, Nintendo’s E3 press conference has been peppered with news and previews about the console’s upcoming software, and there’s a bit of speculation going around about which games will appear.
The big one, of course, is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
A number of major developers have confirmed that they will be working on the game, including Dontnod Entertainment, the studio behind the award-winning Sleeping Dogs and Dead Island.
However, that doesn’t mean that Nintendo’s announcement of Breath of The Wild’s upcoming DLC pack is a lock.
Speaking to IGN, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said the company will be able to announce more information about the game at the E3 conference, but he didn’t specify what kind of content would be included.
“We are excited about The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker DLC pack, which will include three new content packs, two of which will be exclusive to The Windwaker,” Filsaaay said.
“We’re not sure how long that DLC will be, but I can say that we are committed to bringing more content to The LegendOfZelda.
Wii U’s console has a slew of games available on it already, including The Legend, The Wind, and Ocarina of Time 3D.
However it’s worth noting that Nintendo has not yet announced a release date for The WindWaker DLC.
Filsaaam also hinted at the possibility of a Wii U exclusive title for the upcoming year, noting that the company is “proud to bring you The Legend series and its amazing cast of characters.”
Filsaime added that the game’s creators are “pleased” with the reception the game has received.”
Our team at The Legend is so excited to bring The Legend franchise to Wii U, and we’re thrilled to be a part of the team behind The Wind and O’Clock Club,” he said.”
As the world awaits the arrival of The Wind & O’clock Club, I’m excited to say that The Legend has officially launched.
